A DANCER FOR PEACE Tour

This is when Aliah took her Hebrew name Aliah...
*ALIAH SELAH was born ALISE CLAR - she took her Hebrew name while she was doing her
Dancer For Peace Tour in Israel her first stop - then going on to France & Amsterdam.

Then, years later while she was pregnant and studying Tibetan Reiki where the first vowel was AH - that felt a lot better to her than the tightness of her birth name. So she took the name Aliah legally and for her music she added Selah - which in French means "as it is" as in Selah Vi - in Hebrew it has a much deeper meaning... it means going up to God... as one makes an "Aliah" when they come to read from the Torah.
It is used at the end of poems in Psalms - as an Amen - and later she found from a Biblical Historian that is was
when King David would strike up the band. Aliah really liked that and it seemed to make sense. ALIAH SELAH in a name in motion: "onward to a grounded awe."
A work in progress which was better than ALISE CLAR which in German means "all is clear" - a lot to live up to...
while ALIAH SELAH had a work in progress type vibe that sat better with her soul.

While pregnant she studied Feng Shui for the nesting instinct, and Belly Dancing for the labor and 3 styles of Reiki up to Master level... to raise up to her son's energetic level.. she believes. In Tibetan Reiki she realized that her birth name was very tight sonically and yet her hebrew name was all about AH... which felt like letting go... and relaxing.
Paz her Soulmate/Bandmate/Husband also took his Hebrew name legally - when they were pregnant with their son.
There were many miracles that happened during this pregnancy... yet the most amazing one was how a woman
under Aliah's care as a Wellness Consultant healed of ovarian cancer in only 3 weeks.
Ah....

The Dancer For Peace Tour was inspired by Peace Pilgrim
who walked 7x's across the US
in the name of peace -
both inner and outer peace
.

Aliah's show in Amsterdam was on the same bill
as Timothy Leary's Evolution Tour at De Kosmos.
(An amazing huge space that was like an alternative YMCA -
besides a Theater, it had a Restaurant, Health Food Store,
Library, and co-ed Sauna.)

Her show included multi-media slides behind her and
she performed to a packed house of the most amazing people.
It was followed by a Dance Jam... and on the same bill
as Timothy Leary's EVOLUTION tour.

Recently, while playing in the
A2A Music Festival

she re-connected with old friends
that she had met during her first stay
in the magical city of Amsterdam.
Interestingly, it was her song
"Little Shelf"

that they chose to showcase -
a song that she performs
as a Performance Art Dance Piece
much like her show
A Dancer For Peace

did years ago.

"Little Shelf", "Listen", and "What Is So?" are set to be in an artistic documentary COCREATING.US on Education & Healthcare Reform - showcasing alternatives that are working well.. and visions of experts and those from all walks of life who see the connection of optimal learning coming from optimal wellness and following what we now understand about brain plasticity & how interest & passion are vital to optimal brain functioning. Introducing: Holistic Brain Based Education -
Holistic Learning as Holistic Healing & why science says that we need
the valuable contribution of expressive arts - for a well rounded education.
